The "True Cost" of Fencing

Don't be fooled by the initial price tag. See what happens over 30 years.

Select Timbers to Compare:

The Winner: White Cypress

Class 1-2 Durability. While it costs a little more upfront, you pay for it once. It naturally resists termites and rot for decades without dangerous chemicals.

The Trap: Macrocarpa & Messmate

Don't believe the hype. Cypress Macrocarpa is only Class 3 durability. When put in the ground, it often rots at the base within 6-8 years, forcing you to rebuild your entire fence 3-4 times over the same period.
